Chris is a partner in our civil and commercial litigation team and heads the firm’s insurance law team.
Chris has extensive experience in a broad range of civil and commercial litigation in the District Court, High Court and Court of Appeal. He also has considerable experience in resolving disputes through alternative dispute resolution, particularly mediation. Chris acts for clients throughout New Zealand, specialising in all aspects of insurance law, negligence claims, accident compensation, commercial property and building disputes.
Chris graduated from the University of Canterbury and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in 1989. He joined Young Hunter in 1997 and became a partner in 2002.
