Sam is an associate in our civil and commercial litigation team. He specialises in construction, employment and insolvency and business restructuring matters.
Sam is experienced in advising property and business owners, contractors, employers, managers and liquidators across a wide range of disputes.

Sam graduated with a Bachelor of Laws with Honours (First Class) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Otago. While at university, he worked as a Faculty of Law research assistant and tutored first year law.
Sam joined Young Hunter and was admitted to the Bar in 2014. He became an associate in 2021.
Sam is a former winner of the New Zealand Young Lawyers Mooting Competition. He is also a former Head Prefect, and current Board member, of Shirley Boys’ High School, Christchurch.
