Time is running out for incorporated societies to re-register

Incorporated societies across Aotearoa are running out of time to re-register under the Incorporated Societies Act 2022, with the 5 April 2026 deadline fast approaching.

Those societies which are yet to complete the re-registration process must action this immediately, otherwise they face being removed from the Incorporated Societies Register and losing their legal status.

Now is the time to review your society’s progress towards re-registration. The process is relatively straight forward but it can take some time to implement, so we encourage you to action this as soon as possible, so you don’t miss the deadline of 5 April 2026. Young Hunter has worked alongside numerous incorporated societies so far to complete this process. Please get in touch with the team today.
