Megan is an associate in the civil and commercial litigation team, and a member of the firm’s insurance law team.
Megan is a member of Young Hunter’s insurance law team, and has also been actively involved in litigation on the Christchurch High Court’s Earthquake List. This experience and her acquired knowledge of building and construction matters enables her to provide sound advice to clients on issues that arise in this space.
In addition to earthquake and insurance work, she advises clients on a broad range of matters including company and contractual disputes, claims in negligence and other tortious actions, debt recovery, estate and relationship property disputes.
Her practice also includes assisting clients with health and safety matters, and prosecutions under the RMA. She has recently assisted clients through the coronial inquest process, including appearing at inquest hearings.
Megan graduated from the University of Canterbury in 2012 with an LLB and a BSc in biological sciences. She joined Young Hunter at the start of 2012 as a law clerk, and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in July 2013.
